Katie and Ben are riotously funny and 100% full of fun. I wanted their flowers to reflect their vibrant personalities, so I used bright shades of red, yellow and fuchsia, and styled everything a bit wild, a bit funky, with loads of texture and whimsey. The venue had a less than attractive plastic lattice structure which unfortunately couldn't be removed. So, we decided to do a funky treatment of ribbon to camouflage it. There were two layers of ribbon that I attached to the lattice structure, and I used over 3,000 yards of ribbon to create the backdrop! One of Katie & Ben's good friends was the "flower man," and he took great delight in that role. Such a memorable moment. The wood tables were treated with simple linen runners and centerpieces in gold footed bowls and wooden boxes, for an understated yet elegant feel.
Katie & Ben: keep life fun, you two crazy kids. I have no doubt you will. ;-)
