I am a strong advocate for women’s rights— as a woman who was raised in a patriarchal christian cult, as a female business owner, and now as the mother of two daughters. So whether it was directing and producing The Vagina Monologues for my senior project in college or participating in events to advance women in business, I’m all about the female collective and collaborating with other women as much as possible. When my friend Cortnie, a successful female entrepreneur herself, called me about working on an event to launch her mentor’s book about being a “nice girl” in the business world, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough! Now, having read Fran’s book, I am even more pleased to have been part of this beautiful event, produced and designed exclusively by women, for women! I used huge, stunning Japanese ranunculus and sweet peas alongside peach anthuriums, arranged in vintage glass flower frogs so that the flowers danced across the table, and the effect was exquisite!

Lahaina, Hawaii

Eyvgenia & Aleksey brought together twenty of their nearest and dearest to celebrate their marriage on Maui. An intimate ceremony overlooking the ocean, followed by an exquisite reception under the stars with the kindest and most fun people imaginable made this a wedding for the books! Aside from a single box of garden roses that I had shipped in from California, all the tropical flowers and foliage were grown and sourced on the island— our proteas were actually picked from the fields the morning of the wedding! Working in such a sustainable fashion is what I strive for with every job I book, but it rarely happens so easily and seamlessly as it did for this perfectly eco-friendly event!

Sometimes my product styling and event worlds collide, and for this gorgeous mashup, I was hired to provide background florals for La Tavola Linen’s White Glove division launch photoshoot! The botanical elements are still stars, even when they’re providing ambiance.

Hustle + Flow was a two-day intensive photography workshop hosted by Studio 1208 (from England) and The Hons Photo (from New York) in Los Angeles. I was hired to create exciting floral designs for multiple “scenes” that could be photographed by the workshop attendees in rotating break-out sessions. An ombre tabletop, bouquet and floral sofa installation were what I came up with, and although I’m not a “pink girl,” this shoot made me re-think that.

What do you get when you combine opera singers, synchronized swimmers, a roaming elephant, traditional Russian dancers, a big band, aerial performers, an elegant travel theme and the most gorgeous decor ever seen? Why, Olga and Koty's wedding, of course! This event was perfection. I still dream about it.

When wedding blogger Summer Watkins wed Bryan Ball, we pulled out all the stops. I worked with an absolute dream team to conceptualize and execute one of the most exquisite events I've ever been a part of. Summer's recognizable style was on point for every aspect of this glorious wedding celebration.

Aspen, Colorado

Ralph Lauren elegance exuded from this picture-perfect wedding at the bride's family private residence outside of Aspen. From Barlow the Bulldog's floral collar to the mustard velvet ribbon at each place setting to the striped fresh flower wall behind the dessert table, there was not a detail overlooked on this stunning day. Against the magnificent Colorado mountain backdrop, a breathtakingly beautiful storm swept in as guests dined, as if nature itself decided to gift the happy couple.

Pop star Eden xo and urban artist slash DJ Thank You X were wed at a stunning Spanish-style private residence in the Los Feliz Hills. I was honored to plan, design, floralize and execute this classic old-Hollywood celebration, for two of the sweetest people on the planet. From the striking red-rose arrangements to the napkins I custom-made, I will forever be grateful to have played such an integral role in Eden & Ryan's wedding.

Joshua Tree, California

Maria & Nick are the talented photography and videography duo Studio 1208, based in England.

This was how they described what they hoped to achieve for their vow renewal slash fifth wedding anniversary: "Macklemore meets Almost Famous meets Lana Del Rey meets a sparkly Woodstock meets old Vegas and then Vogue does an editorial on it and you look at it while going back to the future and Karl Lagerfeld gives you a nod and Kate Moss is hoping to be invited next time. So glamorous, but bohemian and wild, but unpretentious and completely over the top."

I think we nailed it.

Aspen, Colorado

Courtney and Shawn chose Aspen as the location for their destination wedding celebration, and started the weekend out with a welcome dinner for all their guests at Baldwin Gallery in downtown Aspen. I wanted the florals to be art installations of their own in this beautiful modern art gallery, so we played with color, texture and structure, sourcing sleek vessels to set off the wonderful shapes of the tropical flowers and foliage.

My identical twin daughters Oakleigh and Brioney survived incredible odds both during gestation (Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome) and after their premature birth. Life support, surgeries, and months upon months in the NICCU was our reality. Reaching their first birthday was an incredible milestone and it felt like the first event of their lives that I had any control over. I played with their nickname "The Magic Babies" by running with a modern take on an enchanted forest theme. It was a truly beautiful and emotional celebration of these two sweet babes who really are pure magic.
